The Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse to join our Health Services team. You will provide professional healthcare, manage medical emergencies, and support the wellbeing of the university community. This role offers a dynamic and rewarding environment where your work has a direct impact on the lives of students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide high-quality nursing care to students, staff, and visitors.
  2. Assess, monitor, and manage health conditions and medical emergencies.
  3. Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments as prescribed.
  4. Maintain accurate medical records and reports.
  5. Promote health education, disease prevention, and wellness programs.
  6. Collaborate with doctors, counselors, and other health professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Requirements

Skills & Experience:

  1. Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
  2. Valid registration with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council (UNMC).
  3. Minimum 2 years’ experience in clinical or community nursing (experience in university health services is a plus).
  4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  5. Ability to work with diverse populations and manage confidential information.
