The International University of East Africa (IUEA) invites dedicated, research-driven, and innovative academics to join its Faculty of Engineering Academic Talent Pipeline. We aim to build a strong pool of talent for teaching, research, and leadership across diverse engineering disciplines.

OPEN ACADEMIC POSITIONS

Applications are invited at the following academic ranks:

Professor

1. PhD in a relevant Engineering discipline
2. Minimum 10–15 years of teaching, research, and academic leadership experience
3. Strong record of publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings
4. Demonstrated ability to supervise postgraduate research and mentor junior staff
5. Experience in curriculum development, accreditation, or academic administration is an advantage

Associate Professor

1. PhD in a relevant Engineering discipline
2. 8–10 years of university teaching and research experience
3. Proven track record of publications and research impact
4. Experience supervising postgraduate students
5. Involvement in departmental or faculty leadership is desirable

Senior Lecturer

1. PhD in a relevant Engineering discipline
2. At least 5 years of university-level teaching and research
3. Evidence of scholarly publications or contributions to the field
4. Ability to teach and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students

Lecturer

1. Master’s degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (PhD preferred or in progress)
2. Demonstrated teaching experience or potential in higher education
3. Commitment to research, publication, and professional development

Assistant Lecturer

1. Master’s degree in a relevant Engineering discipline
2. Eagerness to develop teaching, research, and professional skills
3. Ability to support faculty in course delivery, supervision, and lab sessions

Teaching Assistant (TA)

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related field
2. Strong academic performance and interest in higher education teaching
3. Ability to assist in laboratories, tutorials, and academic support activities
